ESTUDIOS BIOCLIMÁTICOS
Problem
In 2017, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 severely affected several towns, including San Juan Pilcaya, Puebla, where approximately 85% of the homes were left in ruins.
Solution
Microclima voluntarily conducted bioclimatic and regenerative studies for the 5 most affected areas: Pilcaya, Texcoco, Hueyapan, Platanar, and Malinalco.
These studies were made available to architects and designers for free to support the reconstruction of homes in the affected areas.
With the support of other organizations, Microclima participated in the reconstruction of a home and the delivery of supplies for El Platanar.
Problem
The owners of a plot of land in Tochimilco, Puebla, were unaware of how to build for thermal comfort throughout the year.
Solution
A bioclimatic study was conducted on the site, along with three regenerative scales, and now they fully understand the elements that influence their land and how to get the best benefits from them.
Problem
A house in La Calera, Puebla, was at risk of a potential landslide on the left side, as there were many landslides and floods during the rainy season.
Solution
A water flow study was conducted for the entire nano-basin, and the origin of the water flow and strategies to manage it were thoroughly identified. Today, the owners sleep peacefully knowing that, even if it rains, they are no longer at risk of a landslide.
